This document sets out the standards that listings published on Sporara must meet. Its purpose is to ensure that users can rely on the information they see and receive the service exactly as described in the listing. The Listing Rules are not a contract but a platform policy; they apply as an integral annex to the agreements signed between the publishing party and Sporara, and breaching them gives rise to contractual sanctions.
The platform is operated jointly by Sporara Teknoloji Ticaret A.Ş. and Esteprime Özel Sağlık Turizm ve Danışmanlık A.Ş.. Camp and tour services are provided by Esteprime Özel Sağlık Turizm ve Danışmanlık A.Ş.; all other services are provided by Sporara Teknoloji Ticaret A.Ş..
1. Who may publish a listing?
- The right to publish listings on Sporara belongs to sports centres, facilities, clubs, instructors and tour and camp organisers (“Operators”) that have completed the registration process, submitted the required documents and been approved by Sporara.
- The Operator must hold all permits, licences, certificates and insurance legally required for the service offered. Meeting requirements such as a travel agency licence under tourism legislation, a sports facility licence or a coaching or instructor certificate is the Operator’s responsibility.
- An Operator may publish listings only for services belonging to its own business, its own staff or a facility it is contractually authorised to represent. Listing another party’s service as one’s own is prohibited.
- Operator accounts may not be transferred, rented out or made available to third parties. The Operator is responsible for the actions of staff who use the account.
- The Operator must notify Sporara without delay of any change in its documents, authorisations or business ownership.
2. Listing content standards
2.1. Title
- The title must clearly state what the service is. Titles written entirely in capitals, unnecessary punctuation (“!!!”, “★★★”), decorative characters and emoji may not be used.
- Titles may not contain prices, discount rates, telephone numbers, web addresses or campaign slogans.
- Unprovable superiority claims such as “the best in Türkiye”, “number one” or “unrivalled” may not be used.
- Duplicate listings may not be created for the same service. Variants of the same service in different cities or on different dates may be separate listings, provided the content reflects genuine information for each variant.
2.2. Description
- The description must clearly state the scope, duration, level, number of participants, meeting point, what is and is not included, and the conditions of participation.
- Conditions such as the required age range, prior experience, ability to swim, health status and weight or height limits must be stated explicitly. Failure to state such conditions in the listing cannot be used as a ground for refusing a participant later.
- The listing must state who provides the equipment, what participants must bring themselves, and whether transport or transfer is included.
- Nothing outside the service may be promised in the description. Every undertaking appearing on the listing page is binding.
- External contact details (telephone, WhatsApp, e-mail, social media accounts, web addresses) or wording directing users off the platform may not be included in the description.
- Text taken from other platforms or owned by third parties may not be copied. The text must be written by the party providing the service and must be accurate.
2.3. Prohibition of misleading statements
- No untrue or incomplete information may be given about the nature, duration or location of the service, the instructors, or the features and capacity of the facility.
- Certificates, accreditations, federation memberships or awards that are not held may not be claimed.
- A location or region other than the place where the service is actually delivered may not be shown.
- Medical outcomes may not be promised in relation to health, treatment, weight loss or injury recovery.
- Non-existent campaigns, capacity restrictions or artificial urgency (“last place”, “ends today”) may not be created.
3. Image rules
- Listing images must depict the service actually offered and the actual facility. Stock photographs, illustrative images or photographs of another facility may not be used as the main cover image.
- The Operator declares that it owns the copyright in all uploaded images or has obtained permission to use them. Photographs taken from the internet or belonging to third parties may not be uploaded.
- Images may not carry watermarks, logos, price tags, telephone numbers, web addresses, social media handles or campaign text.
- Where identifiable individuals appear in images, their explicit consent to publication must have been obtained. For images featuring children, the written permission of a parent or legal guardian is mandatory.
- Images must be sharp, current and of sufficient resolution. Heavily edited images that misleadingly improve the real conditions of the service may not be used.
- Images must be updated whenever there is a material change to the facility or the service.
- Images depicting violence, obscenity, encouragement of dangerous behaviour, or risky activity performed without safety equipment may not be published.
4. Pricing and transparency
- The price shown in the listing must be the final amount payable by the user, inclusive of all taxes.
- Where a mandatory charge is not included in the price (for example equipment hire, entrance fees, insurance, transfers or national park entry fees), its amount and when it will be collected must be stated clearly in the listing. No mandatory fee that is not stated in the listing may be demanded from a participant.
- Hidden fees are prohibited. Additional charges appearing as a surprise during delivery of the service constitute a breach.
- Where a deposit is taken, its amount, how it is collected and the conditions for its return must be stated in the listing.
- The Operator may not offer the same service on the same terms at a lower price through channels other than Sporara. Where a discount is applied on the Operator’s own channels, the same discount must also be set up on Sporara.
- Where a discount is displayed, the struck-through reference price must be a genuine price actually applied before the discount period. Artificially inflated reference prices may not be used.
- The listing must state clearly whether the price is per person or per group/session. Where child, student or group prices differ, that distinction must be shown in the listing.
- Directing users to pay outside the platform is strictly prohibited and is a direct ground for enforcement action.
5. Prohibited content and services
- Any service prohibited by law, subject to a permit that has not been obtained, or contrary to public order.
- Betting, gambling and games of chance, and services that act as intermediaries for them.
- Prescription medicines, performance-enhancing substances, doping products and unclassified food supplements; the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
- Weapons, ammunition and activities for which the legal permits governing their use are absent. Lawful shooting range services are outside this scope provided the necessary documents are submitted and the age limit is clearly stated.
- Presenting as a sports service anything that amounts to medical diagnosis, treatment or physiotherapy and requires an authorised healthcare institution and personnel.
- Listings that are discriminatory or unlawfully restrict participation by a particular group. Services aimed solely at women or solely at children are outside this scope to the extent permitted by law and required by the nature of the service.
- Organisations involving unlawful racing, unauthorised entry to natural areas or unauthorised activity in protected areas.
- Activities that harm animals or are contrary to animal welfare.
- Listings outside the platform’s subject matter, such as franchise, dealership or investment invitations, job vacancies or property advertisements.
- Content that sells only gift vouchers, coupons or “pre-registration” rather than the service itself.
6. Additional conditions for listings aimed at children
- Listings aimed at children must state the age range explicitly, and that range must correspond exactly to the range for which the service is genuinely suitable.
- The listing must state that the reservation is to be made by a parent or legal guardian and that parental consent is required for participation.
- The supervision arrangement must be defined explicitly: instructor-to-child ratio, the procedure for dropping off and collecting children, whether a chaperone is provided, break and catering arrangements, and transport conditions where transport is provided.
- Instructors must be certified or qualified in the relevant discipline and must meet the legal requirements for working with children. The Operator must submit these documents to Sporara on request.
- For multi-day services such as summer schools, camps and courses, the daily programme, accommodation arrangements (if any) and emergency contact plan must appear in the listing or in the information provided after reservation.
- Health information relating to a child may be requested only to the extent necessary for the safe delivery of the service and may be used only for that purpose.
- Marketing language that creates fear, pressure or peer comparison may not be used in listings aimed at children.
7. Health and safety requirements
- The Operator is responsible for ensuring that the facility where the service is delivered and the equipment used are safe, well maintained and fit for purpose.
- For higher-risk activities (water sports, diving, rafting, climbing, motorsport, skiing, parachuting and similar), mandatory safety equipment, a briefing and competent personnel are required, and these must be stated in the listing.
- Insurance required by law must be in place. Where the listing states which insurance is covered, that statement must be accurate.
- Where a health declaration is required for participation, the listing must state what information will be requested and why it is necessary.
- First aid provision, an emergency plan and access to the nearest healthcare facility must be planned in advance for higher-risk activities.
- Where an activity may be cancelled because of weather, water or ground conditions, the cancellation and postponement procedure must be explained in the listing.
- Where identity documents, licences or certificates must be presented for safety reasons, that requirement must be announced in the listing in advance.
8. Capacity and availability accuracy
- The Operator must keep its calendar and capacity up to date. Days and times when it is closed must be removed from the availability calendar.
- Cancelling a confirmed reservation afterwards on the ground that capacity is full is a serious breach and is subject to direct enforcement action.
- Listings that go unrevised for long periods, permanently show no availability or have a high cancellation rate may be demoted in search results or removed from publication.
- For seasonal services, season start and end dates must be entered accurately. Out-of-season listings must not be left published.
- Reservation requests must be answered within the period stated in the listing and in any event within a reasonable time.
9. Category and tag accuracy
- A listing must be published in the sport discipline and product category to which the service genuinely belongs. Unrelated categories may not be selected in order to gain more visibility.
- The listing type (activity, course, tournament, rental, membership, package, camp, tour) must match the true nature of the service. For example, a single-session experience may not be listed as a “course”.
- Location information must show the province and district where the service is actually delivered.
- Tags must be directly relevant to the service; popular but unrelated tags may not be added.
- Special markers such as “for children”, “for women” or “summer school” may be used only on listings that genuinely have that character.
10. Prohibition of SEO manipulation and spam
- Keyword stuffing (repeating the same word in the title or description), hidden text and the scattering of unrelated search terms through the text are prohibited.
- Inserting competitors’ brand names or the names of competing facilities into listing text is prohibited.
- Duplicating the same or a nearly identical listing across different accounts or categories is prohibited.
- Manipulating the review and rating system — commissioning fake reviews, promising discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews, or pressuring users to change a negative review — is a serious breach.
- Using the platform’s messaging infrastructure for advertising, bulk promotion or redirecting users off the platform is prohibited.
- Creating, updating or extracting listings in bulk using automated tools is prohibited.
11. Enforcement and sanctions
Sporara may review listings both before and after publication. Review is carried out through user reports, automated checks and periodic inspections. Where rules are breached, the following sanctions are applied progressively according to the seriousness and repetition of the breach:
- Warning: the breach is notified to the Operator with reasons and a reasonable period is given to correct it. Formal and easily remedied shortcomings are resolved at this stage.
- Removal of the listing: a listing that is not corrected within the period given, or that directly misleads users, is removed from publication. The Operator may make corrections and request republication.
- Suspension of the account: for repeated breaches, or for a breach that is serious on its own, the Operator account is temporarily suspended; during that period no new listings may be published and no new reservations may be taken.
- Termination of membership: for serious breaches (fraud, forged documents, systematic neglect of safety, breach of the rules on child safety, or persisting in directing payment off the platform), the Operator’s membership is terminated and, where necessary, the competent authorities are notified.
Where user safety is directly threatened, Sporara may remove a listing or account immediately without waiting for the progressive stages. In such cases the reasons are notified to the Operator after the action is taken.
The application of a sanction does not extinguish the Operator’s obligations in respect of reservations already completed at that date. The Operator is liable for losses suffered by users as a result of the breach and for claims brought against Sporara.
12. Appeal process
- Every enforcement decision is notified to the Operator together with its reasons and the rule on which it is based.
- The Operator may appeal the decision within 14 days of receiving the notification. Appeals are made through the Operator panel or the contact channel indicated in the notification.
- The appeal must explain in what respect the decision is incorrect and must include any supporting documents (licence, certificate, contract, photographs, correspondence records).
- The appeal is assessed independently of the unit that issued the decision, and a reasoned outcome is notified within 30 days at the latest.
- Where an appeal is upheld, the listing is republished or the account restriction is lifted, and the breach record is removed from the Operator’s history.
- The appeal process does not extinguish the Operator’s right to bring legal proceedings and is not a precondition to doing so.
13. Updates to these rules
These rules may be updated in line with legislative changes, user feedback and developments on the platform. Material changes that may produce adverse consequences for Operators are announced through the Operator panel and by e-mail a reasonable time before they take effect. The current text is always published at https://sporara.com/ilan-kurallari.
If you see a listing that you believe breaches these rules, you may use the reporting option on the listing page or contact our customer support channels. For requests relating to personal data, please use the application channels set out in the Personal Data Protection Notice.
