What does this tour offer?

Rising in the middle of the Aegean Sea, the Cyclades are one of the most preferred routes for sailing enthusiasts with their whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches, and deep blue bays. The group, arriving in Athens by plane from Turkey, boards a sailboat or catamaran from Alimos or Lavrio Marina to embark on a seven-day exploration among these legendary islands. Throughout the tour, you will have the opportunity to get to know the Aegean maritime culture closely and spend each day on a different island; most of the day is spent enjoying sailing on the open sea, while the rest is spent anchoring and swimming in calm bays.

Route and Ports of Call

The classic Cyclades route usually starts near Athens and extends through quiet islands such as Kythnos, Serifos, or Sifnos to Paros, Naxos, Ios, and the famous Santorini; on the return route, you can stop by the lively port of Mykonos. Under favorable wind conditions, an extra swimming break can be taken in the turquoise waters by anchoring briefly in the narrow strait between Antiparos and Paros. You will anchor for one to two nights on each island, with swimming and boat trips in the bays during the day, and free time in the port towns in the evenings. The route may be updated flexibly by the captain depending on wind and weather conditions.

Season and Wind

Although the sailing season is open from May to October, the region's characteristic northern wind, the Meltemi, blows strongly in July and August, providing an exciting yet safe sailing experience for experienced captains. June and September are ideal for those looking for milder winds, warm sea water, and less crowded bays; during these months, port towns are also relatively quiet.

Who Is It For

The tour is suitable for sea and holiday lovers, couples looking for a romantic getaway, and groups of friends interested in sailing; prior sailing experience is not required as there is a professional captain and crew on board. The tour price includes flight tickets, Athens transfers, boat accommodation, captain service, basic life jackets, and snorkeling equipment, as well as daily breakfasts. As Greece is a member of the European Union, a valid passport and, if applicable, a Schengen visa are required for Turkish citizens; current visa conditions must be confirmed by the participant.
