Scuba Diving with Whales in Oman Tour (September)

This tour is designed for those who want to meet the ocean's giants underwater, scuba diving in the crystal-clear waters of Oman. At the heart of the route lie the Daymaniyat Islands off Muscat — a protected marine reserve that ranks among the Arabian Peninsula's richest dive sites, with healthy coral reefs, sea turtles and, in season, visiting whale sharks.

The Focus: Diving with Whales

This is not a "watch from the boat" trip; it is a diving experience where you descend and share the water with marine mammals and giant fish. Oman's coast is known for the whale sharks that gather around Daymaniyat between August and November, and for the Arabian Sea humpback whales — a population unique to these waters year-round. Encounters are wild and never guaranteed, but our guides pick the sites offering the best chance based on the season, currents and recent sightings.

The Diving Programme

The programme is built around two scuba dives per day in sheltered bays. Every outing runs in small groups with a certified dive leader; briefings, equipment checks and safe entry-exit procedures are repeated before each dive. Alongside reef dives, open-water observation dives and surface snorkel encounters are added whenever conditions allow.

Who Can Join

Divers holding at least a one-star (Open Water) certification can take part in all dives. For guests without certification, a guided discover-scuba dive in shallow water is offered. Participants should be able to swim and be in general health suitable for diving; a short medical declaration is completed before diving.

Flights and Accommodation

The tour includes round-trip flights from Istanbul, Muscat airport transfers and accommodation with breakfast. All dive equipment (BCD, regulator, tank, weights and wetsuit) is provided; you are welcome to bring your own mask and fins if you prefer.
