What does this tour offer?

Located in the heart of the Mediterranean and known for its crystal-clear waters, Malta is one of Europe's premier diving destinations, famous for both its historic shipwrecks and natural cave formations. Dozens of spots scattered across the main island, Gozo, and Comino offer a wide range of experiences, from easy shore dives to technical wreck explorations. The proximity of the islands allows for quick access to various dive sites from a single base. The island's historic centers and stone architecture also leave time for cultural excursions between diving days.

Dive Sites and Underwater Life

The famous Blue Hole in Gozo and its connected natural tunnel are among the spots where the shades of blue are most intense. Sunken ship remains like the HMS Maori and Um El Faroud create artificial reefs that host a rich underwater life. The caves around Comino and the Cirkewwa region on the main island are popular among photographers for their clear visibility and rocky formations. Schools of Mediterranean barracuda and octopuses frequently accompany observations in the region.

Tour Scope and Accommodation

The package includes round-trip flight tickets from Turkey to Malta, airport transfers, accommodation, shore and boat diving organizations, guide services, and basic equipment including tanks and weights. Breakfast is included in the accommodation; water is provided during boat tours. Routes requiring a ferry connection to Gozo are included in the tour program in advance.

Certification, Season, and Documents

The shallow sections of Cirkewwa and the Blue Hole are suitable for the Open Water level, while an Advanced certification is recommended for wreck and cave diving. Due to the Mediterranean climate, the most productive diving season is between April and November, with water temperature and visibility peaking in the summer months. Malta is within the Schengen area; it is recommended that Turkish citizens travel with a valid Schengen visa and check their passport validity. Due to the drop in water temperature in winter, the use of a thick wetsuit is advised. Flexible planning of ferry services depending on weather conditions is recommended for crossings to Gozo.
