What does this tour offer?

Located in the middle of the Mediterranean, Mallorca, one of Spain's Balearic Islands, is known as the capital of cycling tourism thanks to its winding coastal roads, the mountainous Tramuntana Range, and smooth asphalt preferred by professional cyclists for their winter training camps. After arriving in Palma de Mallorca via a connecting flight from Turkey, the group will hop on the road bikes waiting for them and pedal through different regions of the island for several days; a route with a different difficulty level is planned for each day, allowing participants to witness both the mountainous and coastal character of the island in turn. The historic center and harbor of Palma can also be explored as the starting and ending points of the tour.

Routes and Tracks

The heart of the program is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Tramuntana Mountain Range; the famous spiral descent of Sa Calobra, the roads passing through the almond and olive groves of the Sóller Valley, and the challenging climbs of Puig Major are all included in the route. On quieter days, tempo rides are held on the flat and windy coastal roads in the east of the island or on village roads in the interior, with lunch breaks taken in local town squares. Difficulty levels and daily distances can be adjusted according to the group; challenging stages with extra climbs can be added for those who wish, while flat coastal routes can be preferred for those who want a more relaxed pace.

Seasonal Conditions

The periods from March to June and September to November are the most ideal times for cycling; in winter, the island turns into a mild route where professional teams from all over Europe hold camps, and the roads remain relatively quiet. Summer months are less preferred due to high temperatures; if chosen, early morning rides are recommended.

Who Is It For?

It is suitable for intermediate and advanced cyclists, amateur racers looking to do climb training, and those who want to combine a nature and sports vacation. The package includes flight tickets, hotel transfers, road bike rental, a technical support vehicle, an experienced tour leader, and accommodation with daily breakfast. Since Spain is in the Schengen area, it is important to check valid passport and visa requirements, if necessary, in advance.
