With an altitude ranging between 2,000 and 3,000 meters, Gudauri features wide, treeless open slopes; this terrain is suitable for both on-piste skiing and freeriding. The region is known for its powder snow quality, fed by the heavy snowfall of the Greater Caucasus, and there are extra routes accessible by helicopter for those wishing to join heliskiing tours; this option is offered to participants seeking an experience beyond classic on-piste skiing.
