What does this tour offer?

Located in the Khumbu region of Nepal, Everest Base Camp is a legendary trekking route that stretches to the foothills of the world's highest peak. The tour begins with a flight from Istanbul to Kathmandu, followed by a domestic flight to Lukla (2,860 m), known for its runway nestled between mountains, where the trek begins within the borders of Sagarmatha National Park. The trail, extending from Namche Bazaar, the heart of Sherpa culture, to Tengboche Monastery, and then to Dingboche and Lobuche, is surrounded by magnificent views of the Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam peaks, accompanied by suspension bridges, pine forests, and Sherpa villages along the way.

Route and Summit Points

The highlight of the trek is reaching Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters and the Kala Patthar viewpoint at 5,545 meters, climbed for its panoramic views. Throughout the average 12-14 day program, altitude gain is kept gradual; acclimatization days are planned in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche, during which short hikes to spots like the Everest View Hotel or Nangkartshang peak support the body's adaptation to altitude. Accommodation along the way is provided in tea houses run by Sherpa families; while the rooms are simple, the communal dining halls serve as a warm meeting point for weary trekkers.

Season and Fitness

The best times to visit are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November), which offer clear skies and stable weather conditions. The period from June to August, when monsoon rains are prevalent, is avoided, while nighttime temperatures can drop to minus twenty degrees Celsius in the winter months. The route does not require technical climbing, but good cardiovascular fitness to endure 5-7 hours of walking per day at altitude is essential; participants are advised to engage in regular walking training before the tour and, if possible, to have prior high-altitude experience.

Inclusions

The package covers round-trip flight tickets from Istanbul to Kathmandu, domestic flights between Kathmandu and Lukla, all ground transfers, tea house accommodations, three meals a day throughout the route, Sagarmatha National Park entrance permits, the TIMS card, and licensed local mountain guiding. For entry into Nepal, a passport with at least six months of validity is required, and a visa must be obtained either upon arrival or via an e-visa application in advance; visa and passport procedures, including the procurement of necessary documents, are the responsibility of the participant.
