What is Snowboard?

Snowboarding is the sport of gliding on snow-covered slopes on a single board with both feet fixed to it. It offers a feel similar to skateboarding and surfing and relies on balance and core control. Though a little challenging on the first day, it soon becomes great fun.

On this tour, transport is included in the package: a return service is provided between İstanbul and the Uludağ ski resort. On multi-day tours, accommodation and the stated meals are also included. (For those who only want to ski and arrange their own transport, the “Experience” version of the same resort is more suitable.)

How does the tour unfold?

The tour begins with a service from İstanbul. On reaching the resort your equipment is fitted; if you wish you take a short orientation with an instructor, then ski on the slopes. On multi-day tours accommodation is planned in advance; the tour ends with the return service to the departure point.

Who is it for?

The tour is suitable for every level, including beginners; those who wish take instructor support, those who wish ski freely. As equipment is included, there is no need to bring gear. Age and group conditions are shared before the reservation.

Equipment

All equipment is provided: the snowboard (board and bindings), snowboard boots and a helmet. The equipment is chosen to your height, foot size and level; soft, forgiving boards are used for beginners.

What to bring?

We recommend bringing a waterproof ski jacket and trousers, thermal base layers, waterproof gloves, a beanie, a neck warmer, snow/sun goggles and sunscreen. The ski/snowboard equipment and helmet are provided by us; dress in layers to keep warm and dry.

Skiing and snowboarding are enjoyable winter sports that develop balance, coordination and endurance while working the whole body. Clean mountain air, snowy scenery and the freedom that speed brings make these sports far more than just exercise. Winter’s finest memories are often gathered on the slopes.

Best time and season

The ski season generally runs from December to the end of March; January and February, when the snow is deepest, are the most rewarding period. Weekdays are when the slopes are calmer and more comfortable, while weekends are the busiest. The exact date and time are set according to the resort’s snow depth and weather that day and shared with you clearly after the reservation.
