What does this tour offer?

Located in the mountainous hinterland of Antalya, Tazı Canyon is known as one of Turkey's most technical canyoning routes, featuring steep rocky drops and numerous rappel points. The sequence of waterfalls and natural pools throughout the canyon requires participants to perform continuous rappels, making it an ideal route for those seeking an adrenaline-filled adventure that prioritizes technique. The course, winding through rocky chutes, constantly refreshes the experience by offering different heights and views at each rappel point; in some sections, one must glide through narrow passages between the rocks.

What's Included

The tour includes transfer from the meeting point to the canyon entrance, all technical equipment including wetsuits, helmets, harnesses, and life jackets, as well as hands-on training and safety briefings accompanied by experienced rappelling guides. At each rappel point, guides personally check safety systems and provide step-by-step guidance to participants; a rest break and usually a meal are provided at the end of the tour. A short technical training session at the canyon entrance ensures that participants can start their first descent with confidence and provides an opportunity to learn rope techniques through practice.

Safety and Participation Requirements

Due to its technical structure involving numerous rappels, Tazı Canyon requires intermediate-to-advanced physical fitness and comfort with heights; previous canyoning or similar rope sports experience is an advantage but not mandatory, as guides explain every step in detail. It is generally suitable for participants aged 14 and over who have no health restrictions.

Season

The canyon's water flow reaches its peak in the spring months, offering both the most visual and technical crossings; April to October is the most suitable period for the tour. The decreasing water level in the summer months makes the rappel-focused crossings more controlled, creating a suitable window for beginners as well.
