Located in the east of Turkey, Sarıkamış in Kars province is known as one of the few centers in the world with high-quality snow. Set within the Sarıçam forests at an altitude of 2100-2634 meters, the slopes offer perfect conditions for skiing and snowboarding with a dry, powder-like snow structure brought by the continental climate. Less crowded than other major centers, Sarıkamış is an ideal choice for our 5-7 day winter camp with its calm and authentic atmosphere; the long and cold winter season ensures the season starts early and ends late.
The most striking feature of the region is the slopes passing through the Sarıçam trees and the moisture-free, light snow structure; this structure both increases skiing performance and reduces the risk of injury during falls. The harsh but dry cold of Eastern Anatolia contributes to the preservation of snow quality throughout the season, which means a stable surface, especially for trainees learning basic techniques.
Accommodation is provided on a half-board or full-board basis in hotels close to the facility; ski/snowboard equipment rental, daily skipass, group lessons with certified instructors, round-trip transfers, and health/accident insurance are included in the package. At the equipment rental point, boots, skis/boards, helmets, and poles are adjusted according to each trainee's height; equipment replacement and maintenance are provided free of charge during the camp.
The program, which continues with technical training in the mornings and level-appropriate free skiing or group activities in the afternoons, is suitable for children and teenagers aged 8-16 as well as beginner adults. In small groups, the number of trainees per instructor is kept limited. Rest and social activities are planned for the evenings. Considering the cold climate of the East, participants are informed in advance about appropriate clothing, and the field team includes personnel trained in first aid. Throughout the camp, daily weather and slope reports are followed, and the timing of the program is adjusted accordingly.
