Ölüdeniz, located in the Fethiye district of Muğla, is one of the world's most famous paragliding spots, with flights starting from the 1969-meter summit of Babadağ. The tandem flight over the turquoise Ölüdeniz Lagoon and the Mediterranean coastline stands out for both its scenery and favorable wind conditions. During the approximately half-hour glide from the summit, you can enjoy a bird's-eye view of pine forests, hidden coves, and the turquoise waters of the lagoon. Bringing together paragliders from all over Turkey and the world, Babadağ has become one of the region's most renowned air sports destinations. This tour aims to provide a safe and unforgettable flight experience on this world-famous route.
The program covers the transfer from your hotel or designated meeting point to the Babadağ summit, all flight equipment (parachute, harness, helmet), and the flight conducted with a licensed tandem pilot. Return transfer from the beach to your accommodation or meeting point is provided after landing. Before the flight, the pilot gives a short safety briefing, explaining the takeoff and landing procedures step-by-step.
Tandem flights do not require any prior experience; the pilot manages all technical aspects of the flight, while the participant simply enjoys their time in the air. Generally, children from the age of seven or eight can participate with parental consent, and adults can participate within the weight range specified by the pilot. Experienced pilots carefully assist those hesitant about heights, and the flight pace can be adjusted according to the participant's comfort.
The flight season in Ölüdeniz is most active between April and November; the summer months, especially June through September, are preferred when thermal winds are most stable. Flights are conducted based on the assessment of licensed pilots depending on meteorological conditions, and the program may be postponed or canceled on days when the wind is unsuitable. Certified equipment is used for all flights, safety responsibility lies entirely with the tandem pilot, and the landing area is a pre-designated safe beach. If desired, pilots can perform light acrobatic maneuvers during the flight; this is entirely up to the participant's preference.
