Kartalkaya (Bolu) Ski & Snowboard Winter Camp

Located in the north of Bolu, at the foothills of the Köroğlu Mountains, Kartalkaya is one of Turkey's most accessible ski resorts due to its proximity to Istanbul and Ankara. Situated at an altitude between 1800-2300 meters, the slopes attract significant interest from families and school groups traveling from these two major cities, which has fostered a deep-rooted ski culture and extensive instructor experience in the region. Our 5-7 day winter camp leverages the advantage of being near the D-100 highway to offer convenient transportation and an intensive training program for beginner and intermediate skiers.

Kartalkaya's Slopes and Location

Nestled on the pine-forested slopes of the Köroğlu Mountains, Kartalkaya is known for its slopes of varying difficulty levels, interconnected chairlift lines, and a high density of ski-in/ski-out hotels. This layout minimizes the distance between accommodation and the slopes during our camp, allowing the majority of the day to be spent on the snow. The region's location, approximately four hours from Istanbul, makes it practical for multi-day camps rather than just weekend trips.

Services Included in the Camp

The package includes half-board or full-board accommodation in slope-side hotels, ski/snowboard equipment rental (boots, skis/board, helmet, poles), daily skipasses, group lessons with certified instructors, round-trip transfers, and health/accident insurance valid for the duration of the camp. Equipment is checked every morning and adjusted according to the participants' sizes.

Program and Target Audience

Days begin with morning warm-ups and technical training, followed by free skiing based on skill level, game-based activities, or advanced technical work in the afternoon. The camp is open to children and teenagers aged 8-17, as well as adults who are new to skiing; progress is monitored in small groups. Evenings are reserved for social activities and rest. Our field team includes staff trained in first aid, and weather and slope conditions are evaluated daily to adapt the program accordingly.
