A 5-day trekking camp awaits you on the section of the Lycian Way stretching between Muğla and Antalya, amidst pine-scented forests, hidden coves, and ancient cities. Along this route, one of the world's most famous long-distance hiking trails, you will embark on a journey intertwined with both history and nature, following paths that hug the coastline. The camp program is designed for participants with intermediate fitness levels, featuring manageable stages of 12-16 kilometers per day with varied terrain. As you progress through red pine forests rising from the seaside, valleys, and ancient stone-paved paths, each stage greets participants with a different landscape and historical texture.
The first day begins with a hike towards Faralya-Kabak Bay; the second and third days progress along the Kaş-Kalkan line, passing through ancient Lycian ruins, tomb monuments, and old stone-paved trails. The fourth day features a long and scenic stage descending to Patara beach, while the final day is structured as a shorter walk to conclude the camp. Accommodation is provided in pensions or campsites with sea views at the end of each stage. Throughout the route, wide-angle views opening from the ridges of Babadağ towards the blue of the Mediterranean are also included in the itinerary.
The package includes daily stage planning, guided hiking with an experienced leader, accommodation (pension/camp), specified meals, and necessary transfers between stages. An equipment list is shared with participants in advance; it is recommended that they provide their own basic gear such as trekking shoes, sun protection, a water bottle with sufficient capacity, and a lightweight backpack. Early start times are preferred during summer months to ensure hiking is done during cooler hours.
The route is suitable for hikers with intermediate fitness; it does not require technical climbing but includes rocky and steep sections. Regular water and rest breaks are taken along the guided route, and the program can be adjusted according to weather conditions. The coves of the Lycian Way opening to the Mediterranean, along with ancient theater and tomb ruins, offer a physically and culturally fulfilling experience throughout the camp. It is recommended that participants have a basic habit of walking beforehand to ensure the multi-day stages can be completed comfortably.
