Köprülü Canyon, a hidden paradise in the Taurus Mountains of Antalya, is one of Turkey's most beloved rafting routes, known for both its natural beauty and family-friendly atmosphere. This deep canyon, where the clear and cool waters of the Köprüçay flow, is surrounded by steep cliffs, lush pine forests, and ancient stone bridges. This multi-day river camping experience offers the joy of rafting in the canyon's refreshing waters by day and an immersive stay in nature by the riverside at night.
Köprülü Canyon is an ideal route for both beginners and families, with moderate rapids generally ranging from grade 2 to grade 3. Since the water source comes from high-altitude springs, it remains cool even in the summer months, and the rafting season extends from spring through autumn. The lush vegetation covering both sides of the canyon, occasional waterfalls, and crystal-clear waters make the route visually unforgettable.
The package includes accommodation at a river camp near the canyon, all meals, certified guidance, and all necessary safety equipment (raft, paddle, life jacket, helmet, jacket). Before each rafting tour, participants receive a comprehensive safety briefing, and basic paddling techniques are taught hands-on. Camp days are structured with morning rafting sessions, free time in the canyon in the afternoon, and relaxation by the river in the evenings.
Thanks to its moderate current, Köprülü Canyon appeals to a wide range of participants, including families with children; guests at a beginner level with no rafting experience can easily join. The age limit is determined by the operator, and children above a certain height/age are generally accepted when accompanied by their parents. Knowing how to swim is recommended, but thanks to the canyon's calm flow, inexperienced participants can also raft safely under the supervision of a guide. The multi-day camp format offers participants the opportunity to get to know not just the river, but the entire texture of the canyon up close.
