Located on the Aegean coast of Aydın, perched on limestone cliffs overlooking the sea, Kazıklı is one of the region's prominent sport climbing areas. The walls, stretching parallel to the coastline, offer an environment cooled by the sea breeze, featuring both short routes suitable for beginners and more technical lines to challenge intermediate climbers. In this 3-5 day residential camp, participants stay at the campsite and spend most of the day on the rock, accompanied by certified instructors.
Kazıklı's limestone offers rough surfaces and distinct holds shaped by the sea; this structure allows beginners to comfortably learn basic foot and hand techniques. The sectors range from short training walls to longer, steeper lines, allowing participants to gradually increase the difficulty level throughout the camp. The sea view starting right at the base of the cliffs turns climbing breaks into pleasant moments of relaxation.
Thanks to the mild Aegean climate, the climbing season in Kazıklı covers a wide period from autumn to spring; while the summer months are intensely hot and humid, the seaside rock walls offer ideal conditions for climbing during the cooler seasons. The camp calendar is determined by taking this climatic advantage into account, offering participants both scenery and comfortable climbing conditions together.
Accommodation is provided at the campsite, and three meals a day are served in the camp kitchen. Technical equipment such as ropes, harnesses, carabiners, and helmets are available for rent. The program begins each morning with knot and belay theory, followed by practical climbing on the rock accompanied by certified instructors. While beginners reinforce basic skills, intermediate participants have the opportunity to improve themselves on more technical routes by the sea; safety is kept at the forefront throughout the entire process. By working in small groups throughout the camp, the individual progress of each participant is closely monitored.
