Located in the inner parts of the Western Black Sea region, on the border of Kastamonu and Çankırı, the ski center within Ilgaz Mountain National Park stands out for its calm and boutique structure surrounded by dense pine forests. Although the slopes, ranging from 1950 to 2500 meters in altitude, are smaller in scale compared to large and crowded centers, they are ideal for those seeking a skiing experience in touch with nature. Our 5-7 day residential winter camp aims to provide a focused training environment for beginner children and teenagers, away from the crowds, by taking advantage of Ilgaz's tranquil atmosphere.
The slopes, located within the national park boundaries, pass through dense pine forests; this structure provides a wind-sheltered environment while enhancing the natural beauty of the ski area. The continental effects of the Black Sea climate in the inner regions contribute to regular snowfall, but due to the relatively small scale of the center, group sizes are kept limited.
The package includes half/full board accommodation in facilities near the resort, ski/snowboard equipment rental, daily skipass, group lessons with certified instructors, round-trip transfers, and health/accident insurance. At the equipment rental point, boots, skis/boards, helmets, and poles are individually fitted to each participant, and equipment can be exchanged during the camp if necessary.
Days begin with technical training in the morning and continue with level-appropriate free skiing and nature-themed group activities in the afternoon. The camp is suitable for children and teenagers aged 8-16, as well as adults who are new to skiing. Thanks to the small group structure, instructor-trainee interaction is kept high. Evenings are planned for relaxation and social activities in the quiet atmosphere of the national park. The field team includes staff trained in first aid, and slope boundaries are meticulously followed due to the forest terrain. Its structure, away from the crowds, is particularly suitable for families who want to combine a love for nature with skiing.
