Gokova (Mugla) Scuba Diving Camp

Located among the protected bays of Muğla, Gökova Bay offers a peaceful diving route with its calm waters for both beginners and advanced divers. This 5-6 day scuba diving camp with accommodation provides a safe start for participants trying diving for the first time, thanks to the bay's wind-sheltered structure, and offers certified divers the opportunity for enjoyable exploration dives in calm waters. Gökova's protected marine ecosystem also makes the camp special in terms of nature observation; the region's marine protected area status ensures that underwater life remains relatively undisturbed.

Underwater Life in Gökova's Sheltered Bays

Gökova Bay is known for its seahorse population, vast sponge gardens, and numerous fish species living on rocky bottoms. The sheltered nature of the bays keeps the water relatively still, creating an ideal environment, especially for participants putting on scuba gear for the first time. Calm dives along rocky headlands and sandy bottoms are offered alternately throughout the program. Shallow areas with dense seagrass meadows offer a unique exploration opportunity, especially for participants interested in macro life.

What Awaits You at the Camp?

Accommodation, all meals, training accompanied by PADI or CMAS certified instructors, and the use of tanks and basic equipment are included in the camp fee. The program begins with practice dives in sheltered bays and progresses to exploration dives in different bays by boat in the following days. Participants who wish can take the internationally valid certification exam at the end of the camp. Short briefings on nature and the marine ecosystem are also added to the daily program during boat trips between bays.

Who Can Participate and How Is Safety Ensured?

The camp is open to everyone over the age of 12 who can swim and has no health obstacles to diving; prior diving experience is not required. Equipment checks and safety briefings are conducted before every dive, and depth-duration tracking is provided with dive computers. Thanks to the sheltered bay structure, the risk of currents is kept low, the number of participants per instructor is planned within safe limits, and surface support is ready for every boat trip.
