Gokceada (Canakkale) Windsurfing & Kite Camp

Held in Gökçeada, one of Turkey's most established destinations for wind sports at the intersection of the Aegean and Marmara, this multi-day (5-7 days) surf and kite camp with accommodation opens its doors to participants of all levels who want to experience the island's strong and steady winds. Accommodation, daily meals, IKO/VDWS certified instructor support, board-sail-kite equipment, and wetsuits are included.

Aydıncık's Strong Northern Winds

The Aydıncık coast in the north of the island has hosted international windsurfing organizations for years with the north wind (poyraz) blowing uninterrupted from the open Aegean. Since the wind here is both strong and steady for long periods, it creates a serious training ground for advanced athletes, while more moderate conditions are available in the sheltered inner sections for beginners.

Gökçeada has a strong wind sports culture shaped over the years; participants coming to the island not only take lessons but also become part of a community that shares the same passion. The camp program starts with theoretical knowledge and equipment introduction in the morning and continues with water sessions planned according to the wind's course.

Program, Equipment, and Safety

Participants are grouped according to their levels; while those starting from scratch progress under instructor supervision in basic balance and takeoff techniques, experienced ones improve their skills in reading waves and wind. A rescue boat and instructor team are present at every session on the water, ensuring a safe learning environment.
