What is this training?
For those who want a solid, enjoyable foundation in freediving, Kemer offers sheltered coves and clear water beneath the Taurus Mountains. Led by a certified instructor, this course covers the fundamentals step by step, from breathing and relaxation to equalization, duck-diving, finning technique and the buddy safety system. You will learn to stay longer and more comfortably underwater, with an optional path to internationally recognized certification.
Why freedive in Kemer?
Kemer sits where the Taurus range meets the Mediterranean, creating sheltered, calm and clear coves perfectly suited to learning. Ringed by pine forest, the sea is usually still, helping beginners focus on technique. Established dive centers provide solid training infrastructure, and clear water lets your instructor see your movements precisely and correct them at once.
What you will learn
The course starts with a theory session on breathing physiology, relaxation and safety. In shallow water you practice diaphragmatic breathing and surface breath-up. Step by step you work on equalization, the duck-dive that sends you gracefully downward, and efficient finning. You learn the buddy safety system hands-on and meet the basics of static and dynamic apnea, extending your breath-hold safely.
Who is it for?
This course suits adults who can swim and are in good health. Complete beginners can start from scratch, while snorkelers can refine their technique. Anyone interested in breath control and focus will benefit.
