What will you learn in the course?

Your training begins with fundamentals on land: the parts of the board, the correct lying position, and repeating the pop-up movement on the sand. Then you move into the water to learn effective paddling, steering the board toward the wave, and keeping your balance. Your instructor teaches wave reading in İğneada's regular waves and when to ride which wave. Standing up, staying on the board, and steering progress in sequence. Sea safety, reading currents, and self-rescue techniques are also core parts of the training.

Who is it suitable for?

This course is ideal for beginners who want to start from scratch. Those who have tried a few times but want to improve their technique will benefit greatly. Knowing how to swim and having basic fitness is enough. An optional certificate of participation is available at the end.

Safety

Safety is the top priority throughout the course. Your certified instructor is by your side at every stage and keeps you in waves suited to your level. The thorough safety briefing given on land forms the basis of your behavior in the water. Groups are kept small, equipment is regularly checked, and each participant is closely monitored.

Best season and conditions

The most suitable period for training at İğneada is autumn and spring, when the waves are regular. In these periods the sea offers ideal conditions for learning. Basic training can also take place in summer with gentler waves. The program is planned according to current weather and sea conditions.

Location and access

İğneada is on the Black Sea coast in Kırklareli, near the Bulgarian border, reachable from Istanbul in about three to three and a half hours by car. The meeting point and detailed directions are shared with your booking confirmation.
