What is this training?
Eskişehir is a young, dynamic student city where the Porsuk River flows through the very center. In this city with a lively social life driven by its universities, our Beginner Swimming Course, run in our indoor heated pools, takes children and adults who cannot swim and turns them into safe swimmers from zero. In a city where people cycle along the Porsuk and take gondola rides, being at ease with water raises the quality of life. Our certified instructors stand beside you at every step and build confidence without skipping a single stage.
The Fundamentals You Will Learn
We begin with building water confidence, putting your face in the water, and breath control. Floating, front and back glides, correct kicking, and arm technique follow. You gradually learn the fundamentals of freestyle (front crawl) and breaststroke.
Each skill is built safely on the last; no one moves to the next stage before they are ready. Basic water safety awareness is also instilled throughout the program.
Fear of Water and Breathing
Hesitation around water is common, especially among adults learning late in life. Our instructors address it without judgment, with gentle breathing exercises in the shallow end. Through blowing bubbles and rhythmic breathing drills, you feel how your body is supported in the water.
Breath control is the cornerstone of safe swimming. As you control your breathing you relax in the water, and the more you relax the more fluidly you swim.
Week by Week Progress
Our multi-week program is gradual. The first week covers water adaptation and breathing; the second gliding and floating; the third and fourth freestyle leg and arm coordination; later weeks focus on breaststroke technique and increasing distance. By the end of the program, the goal is for you to swim the length of the pool unassisted.
Each lesson begins by revisiting the previous week's gains, so that what you learn becomes permanent.
Who It Suits
It suits children aged 5 and up who cannot swim, and adults of every age. Eskişehir's large student population makes it ideal for young adults who want to learn late in life. Families who care about their child's water safety and anyone hesitant around water will find their place here. We offer small-group or one-to-one private lesson options.
What Is Included
Use of the indoor heated pool, accompaniment by a certified instructor, flotation equipment for safe progress, and personal development tracking are all included. In the continental climate of central Anatolia, thanks to the heated pool you train regularly all year, undeterred by the winter cold, and receive concrete feedback every week.
A Student-Friendly Flexible Schedule
For Eskişehir's young, lively population we keep our lesson times flexible. We offer weekday and weekend options for university students with busy timetables, working adults, and school-age children, building a plan suited to everyone's pace. With make-up sessions for missed lessons, your learning stays continuous. Thanks to our small-group approach, the instructor watches each participant closely; you never get lost in a crowded session and progress quickly with personal attention. For those who want one-to-one private lessons, a fully personalized program is also possible. Just bring a swimsuit, cap, towel, and goggles.
Your Instructor and After the Course
Our instructors are certified, experienced, and skilled at working with beginners; patience and safety are their priorities. When you complete the course you gain the confidence to feel safe in the water. On summer holidays you enter the sea or pool without hesitation, and continue your development with our advanced stroke and endurance programs. This new relationship you build with water in Eskişehir, the city of the Porsuk, is a safe gain worthy of its dynamic urban life.
