Baku is the fastest street circuit on the calendar and, for travellers from Türkiye, one of the easiest to reach. A three-hour flight, entry on an ID card and a track that runs through the middle of the city make it a natural first Grand Prix.
The circuit: two extremes in one lap
Cars pass 350 km/h on the two-kilometre run beside the Caspian, then squeeze into a wall-lined section under the UNESCO-listed Old City where two cars barely fit side by side. That contrast is why Baku produces safety cars and surprise results almost every year.
Which grandstand?
The historic section near the Philharmonic Garden gives you the narrow, high-consequence corners where driver errors are most visible. Stands like Khazar closer to the start/finish straight give you the race start, pit-stop traffic and top-speed action over the control line.
