Gokceada Scuba Diving Experience

If you have never dived with a tank before but have always been curious about the underwater world, the Gökçeada Scuba Diving Experience was designed exactly for you. This program lets you discover the silent, mesmerising world beneath the sea for the first time, guided by a certified instructor, without requiring any certification or prior experience. Surrounded by the clear waters of the northern Aegean, Gökçeada is one of Turkey's safest and most enjoyable places for a first dive, with its sheltered, low-current bays and high visibility.

The experience begins with a short, easy-to-follow briefing. Your instructor introduces the equipment and explains, in plain language, how to breathe, how to equalise your ears, the basic hand signals and the little tricks for staying relaxed underwater. You then get used to the water with a few simple exercises in a shallow, calm area. When you feel ready, your instructor stays right by your side and you begin your real dive at a safe depth.

Underwater, you are welcomed by schools of fish drifting through posidonia meadows, colourful creatures clinging to the rocks and the Aegean's distinctive clear blue. Your instructor remains beside you throughout the dive, the pace is set entirely to suit you and nothing is forced. Our goal is not to break records, but for you to safely experience that unique sense of peace and freedom that comes from breathing beneath the sea.

All equipment (tank, regulator, BCD, mask, fins and wetsuit) is provided by us. You only need to bring a swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen and a change of clothes. The experience is suitable for anyone over the age of 10 who can swim and whose health is suitable for diving. A short medical statement is completed before participation. Optionally, your dive can be recorded with underwater photos and videos, so you can share this special moment with your loved ones.

How does the day go? We welcome you at the meeting point, and after a short briefing and equipment fitting we enter the sea; the whole activity, including preparation and the dive, lasts about two to three hours, and your time underwater is adjusted according to conditions. As Gökçeada's sheltered bays are calmer in the morning, the early hours are usually the best time for a first experience. Bringing sunglasses, a hat and plenty of water will add to your comfort after the dive. It is perfect for families, couples and groups of friends; companions who prefer not to dive can watch the process from the shore. At the end, your instructor briefly explains the certified training steps and progression options to those who are interested.

Safety is our priority at every stage. Before the dive, sea conditions (current, waves, visibility) are assessed; the equipment is regularly maintained and every participant dives under one-to-one instructor supervision.
