Eskisehir Tennis Experience
About the experience
One of Turkey's most livable cities with its young, lively and orderly structure, Eskisehir offers an airy ground for tennis with its student energy and modern urban culture. This Central Anatolian city, where the Porsuk Stream runs through the middle and bicycle paths and green spaces are abundant, carries a natural inclination toward outdoor sports. At Sporara, we invite you to a relaxed and social tennis experience befitting the dynamic and modern spirit of this city. This is not a course; it is a gathering where you will enjoy getting acquainted with the ball, moving in fresh air and spending a pleasant time. Our door is open to all levels.
Why tennis in Eskisehir?
With its two large universities, Eskisehir has a young and dynamic population and therefore a lively sports culture. The sports facilities in the Tepebasi and Odunpazari districts offer players a comfortable setting with well-kept courts and the city's tidy green spaces. The recreation areas along the Porsuk Stream have brought outdoor activities to the center of city life. The young energy of Anadolu University and Eskisehir Technical University forms the basis of a sport-inclined culture. The city's orderly and modern structure provides an airy ground for outdoor sports.
Court and atmosphere
The courts where our experience takes place are surrounded by the city's tidy green spaces and airy weather. Eskisehir's orderly and peaceful urban structure creates a calm and enjoyable atmosphere on the court too. A young, energetic and friendly atmosphere prevails on the court; no one expects perfection from you. The city's student spirit adds a natural ease and cheer to the experience.
Best season and hours
In the continental climate of Central Anatolia, spring and autumn are the most pleasant periods for tennis in Eskisehir; the months of May, June, September and October are clear and mild. In summer, avoiding the midday heat and scheduling the experience in the morning or late afternoon is most pleasant. Eskisehir's weather varies during the day; it is cool in the mornings and warms in the afternoon. In winter, although play is possible on sunny days, dressing in layers is needed.
What will happen during the experience?
Our guide welcomes you with a smile and starts with a light warm-up. Then, without feeling any pressure, you experience the basic movements, from holding the racket correctly to clean contact with the ball. Forehand, backhand and simple serve attempts unfold in a young and energetic, friendly atmosphere. Our guide is by your side at every step, gives small tips but never pushes. Smiles, encouragement and pleasant conversation are never missing on the court. Water breaks are taken; afterward you can take a walk along the Porsuk and enjoy the city's lively cafe culture.
Who can you share the experience with?
This experience is open to everyone, from beginners who have never played tennis to intermediate players. It is ideal for students, workers living in Eskisehir, those wanting to make the most of the weekend, or visitors to the city. You can join with friends, your partner, or on your own. No special fitness or prior experience is required; comfortable clothing and a spirit open to exploration are enough.
What to bring
Eskisehir's weather is continental; mornings can be cool and afternoons warm. Dressing in layers and bringing a light top is useful. In summer, bring a hat and sunscreen. Choose breathable sportswear and good sports shoes. Rackets and balls are provided by us, but you may bring your own racket if you have one. Do not forget to drink plenty of water. The experience lasts on average one and a half to two hours, and the group is kept small so everyone can hit enough balls. When Eskisehir's young energy, airy order and the simplicity of tennis come together, you will discover how enjoyable and refreshing sport can be.
