Didim Scuba Diving Activity

Famous for the clear waters of the Aegean, Didim is one of the most enjoyable spots in Turkey for those diving with a tank for the first time. Thanks to its sheltered bays, generally low current and high visibility, Didim offers an ideal environment where those with no experience can safely get acquainted with the underwater world. The Didim Scuba Diving Experience was prepared for you to experience the mesmerising silence beneath the sea for the first time, guided by a certified instructor, without requiring any certification or prior knowledge.

The experience begins with a short, easy-to-understand briefing. Your instructor introduces the equipment and explains, in plain language, how to breathe underwater, how to equalise your ears, the basic hand signals and the tips for staying relaxed. You then get used to the water with a few simple exercises in a shallow, calm area. When you feel ready, your instructor stays right by your side and you move on to your real dive at a safe depth.

Underwater, you are welcomed by schools of fish gliding through posidonia meadows, colourful creatures clinging to the rocks and the Aegean's distinctive clear blue. Your instructor is right beside you throughout the dive; the pace is set entirely to suit you and nothing is forced. Our goal is not depth or duration, but for you to safely experience that unique sense of peace and freedom that comes from gliding beneath the sea.

All equipment (tank, regulator, BCD, mask, fins and wetsuit) is provided by us. You only need to bring a swimsuit, a towel, sunscreen and a change of clothes. The experience is suitable for anyone over the age of 10 who can swim and whose health is suitable for diving. A short medical statement is completed before participation. If you wish, your dive can be recorded with underwater photos and videos, giving you the chance to share this special moment with your loved ones.

The flow of the day and the surroundings: We welcome you at the meeting point, and after a short briefing and equipment fitting we enter the sea; including preparation and the dive, the activity lasts about two to three hours. As Didim's sheltered bays are calmer in the morning, the early hours are recommended for a first experience. With the ancient Temple of Apollo, Altınkum beach and the surrounding bays, Didim offers plenty to explore before and after the dive, turning the experience into a lovely day out. It is perfectly suited to families, couples and groups of friends. Companions who prefer not to dive can watch the process from the shore. At the end, guests who are interested are given information about the certified training steps and progression options.

Safety is our priority at every stage. Before the dive, sea conditions (current, waves, visibility) are carefully assessed; the equipment is regularly maintained and every participant dives under one-to-one instructor supervision.
