Assos (Ayvacik) Freediving Experience
About the experience
Discover freediving beneath the ancient ruins of Assos, in the clear, pebbled bays of the Aegean. This single-session experience introduces you to the deep silence and freedom of the underwater world, guided by an expert every step of the way. No prior experience is needed.
Why freedive in Assos?
Assos offers calm, sheltered coves set beneath one of antiquity's most striking landscapes. The crystal-clear waters and stony seabed create a natural, peaceful setting ideal for your very first breath-hold dives. The historic atmosphere of Behramkale, combined with the underwater stillness, turns every dive into a meditative discovery.
What awaits you in this experience?
Your session begins with a thorough breathing and safety briefing on land. Your guide teaches you relaxation techniques and diaphragmatic breathing. You then enter shallow, safe water and try your first breath-hold dives, always at your own pace, never rushed. You'll watch light dance across the stones while enjoying a new relationship with your own breath.
