Frig Yolu Ultra is an ultra-trail organization held in the Phrygian Valley, one of Turkey's marked long-distance hiking routes stretching between the borders of Afyonkarahisar and Eskişehir. The course passes through volcanic tuff rocks shaped by wind and water over thousands of years, areas containing ancient rock monuments around Yazılıkaya, and vast plateau plains; this natural and historical texture turns the run into a journey of discovery. The desolate and quiet character of the valley gives participants the feeling of running in a terrain where time seems to stand still, unlike other ultra courses. This Sporara tour program integrates race participation with local accommodation and organized transfer services, allowing participants to focus solely on the course.
The package covers your official ultra-trail race registration, an accommodation option near the valley, and transfer services to the start and finish points. Participants are provided with a technical bag containing equipment recommendations suitable for the course, a race bib set, and a thermal blanket; additionally, a training suggestion for pace control on rocky and plateau terrain is shared. Practical tips on energy management for long and flat plateau sections are also included in this preparation.
The program, which extends from short-distance options to long ultra categories, is designed for participants with a certain level of experience in trail running. Basic trail running knowledge and endurance are recommended due to the rocky ground and long plateau crossings.
The organization is suitable for being held during the spring and autumn months when the region is away from extreme heat or cold, making it favorable for running. The quiet and vast landscape of the Phrygian Valley offers participants an ultra experience intertwined with history, away from city life; rock churches and traces of ancient settlements greet runners along the course. Early start times, before daytime temperatures rise, also make it possible to take advantage of the coolness in long-distance categories.
