What does this tour offer?

This Bali yoga retreat puts both sides of the island into one trip: inward-looking, green and quiet Ubud, then ocean-facing, livelier Seminyak. Across seven nights and eight days there is yoga every morning, with the rest of each day given over to the classic excursions of each region. Flights, accommodation and breakfast are included.

Why Bali, and why Ubud?

Bali's association with yoga is not a marketing invention. The island's Hindu culture is woven into daily ritual, and that gives yoga practice a natural setting rather than an imported one. Ubud is the centre of that ecosystem: yoga halls (shalas) built among rice terraces, temple offerings that begin at five in the morning, and a quiet that is genuinely disconnected from city noise.

So why not stay in Ubud the whole time? Because reducing Bali to Ubud leaves the trip incomplete. After four nights inland you move to Seminyak: the ocean, the sunsets, and the morning practice continuing on a terrace above the beach. That contrast keeps the second half of the holiday from being a repeat of the first.

Yoga every morning

Every one of the eight mornings has a session before breakfast, from 07.00 to 08.15. The hour is not arbitrary: daylight comes early in Bali, and the first hours are both the coolest and the quietest part of the day.

Sessions run without splitting the group by level, so everyone works at their own edge. Someone stepping onto a mat for the first time and someone with a regular practice can share the same class — the instructor demonstrates an easier and a deeper variation of each posture side by side. In Ubud the practice takes place in an enclosed shala; in Seminyak, on a terrace facing the ocean.

Attendance is not compulsory. If you would rather sleep through one morning, nothing in the programme breaks — the point of a retreat is rest, not compliance with a timetable.

Ubud — the first four nights

The Ubud half focuses on the island's interior. The Tegallalang rice terraces, the Ubud Monkey Forest, the craft villages known for silverwork and wood carving, the morning market, and Tirta Empul — one of Bali's best known water temples — are all on the itinerary.

Temples come with one rule: shoulders and knees must be covered. A sarong (the traditional wrap) is provided, so there is nothing you need to buy.

Ubud sits at altitude and its mornings are cool, so a light layer is worth packing. This is the detail that surprises most first-time visitors: the tropical heat people expect does not apply to an Ubud sunrise.

Seminyak — the last three nights

On day five you transfer to Seminyak by private vehicle, a drive of roughly an hour and a half. Seminyak is Bali's most developed coastal area: a long beach, sunset views, beach clubs and some of the best restaurants on the island.

The programme deliberately loosens here. Morning yoga continues, but the days are largely free. There is a guided sunset trip to Tanah Lot temple and a tour around Seminyak; the rest of the time is yours for the beach, a spa, or your own wandering.

Price and departure dates

The tour departs in the last week of every month. The price is $2,400 per person, based on two people sharing a room, and it applies to bookings of two, three, four or five people alike.

Travelling alone means having the room to yourself, so the price becomes $2,800 — the $400 difference is the single-occupancy supplement. The total updates instantly when you pick your group size at checkout, so there is no surprise at the end.

What the price includes

Return flights from Istanbul, seven nights of accommodation and breakfast are included. On top of that the package covers meet-and-greet at Bali airport, all internal transfers by private vehicle, and international health insurance.

The airport welcome is one of the details that earns its place after a long flight: you are met at arrivals in Denpasar with your name on a board and taken straight to the vehicle, with no taxi negotiation involved.

Visas and practical notes

Turkish passport holders receive a visa on arrival for Indonesia. It is issued at the airport, the fee is payable by card and is not included in the package. Your passport needs at least six months' validity from the return date and two blank pages.

Flight time with a connection averages 16–18 hours, and Bali is five hours ahead of Türkiye. Mild jet lag on the first day is normal, which is why the arrival day is deliberately left free.

Who is it for?

No yoga experience is required. The programme works for someone stepping onto a mat for the first time and for someone with an established practice. The minimum age is 16.

It also suits solo travellers well: sessions and excursions happen as a group, so you are not alone during the day, but nobody ties you to a schedule in your free time.

Frequently asked questions

I have never done yoga. Will I struggle?

No. Classes run without level groups and the instructor shows an easier variation of every posture. You are expected to work at your own edge.

Do I need to bring a mat?

No, mats are provided. Bring your own if you prefer to practise on it.

Why four nights in Ubud and three in Seminyak?

Ubud has more to see and its excursions run longer, while the Seminyak half is weighted towards rest. The split slows the pace of the trip as it goes on.

Can I travel solo?

Yes. Solo travellers pay $2,800; the difference reflects having the room to yourself.

Do I need a visa?

Indonesia issues a visa on arrival, so no advance application is needed. The fee is paid at the airport and is not included.

Which months are best?

April to October is the dry season. November to March brings short tropical downpours; the yoga is unaffected as it happens under cover, and outdoor excursions simply move to the morning.
