Aydin Beginner Tennis Training

What is this training?

In Aydın, surrounded by fig and olive groves on the Aegean's fertile land, this beginner tennis course is designed from scratch for those who have never held a racket. With patience that suits the measured, peaceful rhythm of Aegean life, you will learn tennis enjoyably and with confidence. Our aim is for each participant to progress at their own pace and grow more comfortable every time they step onto the court. No prior knowledge or athletic background is needed.

Why start tennis in Aydın?

Aydın's mild Aegean climate is suitable for outdoor tennis most of the year. We favor morning and evening hours in the summer heat, while the crisp air of spring and autumn is ideal for courts; winters are rarely harsh. You can easily reach urban facilities in Efeler, and we offer flexible hours for those coming from districts like Kuşadası, Söke and Didim. The calm of the Menderes Plain and Aydın's quiet urban fabric create a relaxed, pressure-free learning environment for beginners.

Which techniques are in the program?

Our program builds the fundamentals step by step. First you learn the correct grip: the eastern grip for the forehand, the continental for serves and volleys, and one- or two-handed options for the backhand. Then, through the ready stance, split-step and side-step drills, you master balanced movement. We reinforce the forehand take-back and forward weight transfer and the backhand shoulder turn and follow-through with slow balls. The serve is worked in parts: toss, knee bend and arm extension. Target and reaction drills for hand-eye coordination are added every lesson.

Weekly flow and program

The program is built on two or three sessions a week. The first weeks cover grip, stance and feel; later weeks add forehand-backhand rallies, serves and simple game scenarios. Each lesson starts with a warm-up and dynamic stretching, continues with the technical section and ends with mini games. Court rules, singles and doubles play and the 15-30-40 scoring system are taught in practice.

About equipment and courts

If you do not have a racket, we provide a beginner-friendly one. We guide you on proper tennis shoes, grip size and plenty of water under the Aegean sun. The warm-up and stretching routine is never skipped; it is the key to avoiding injury.

What happens in your first lesson?

On day one we do not leave you alone. In small groups of at most five or six, our experienced instructors give individual feedback to each participant. Your first shots are about feeling the ball and befriending the racket; the process is far more fun than you expect.

What do you gain as you progress?

Within a few months you will build controlled rallies, put your serve into play and be ready for your first match. Tennis develops balance, conditioning and reflexes while nourishing mental calm.

Who can join?

This program is open to beginners of every age. Whether you are a student, a worker or someone wanting to reconnect with sport, you need no athletic background. In the shade of olive trees and the soft Aegean breeze, we look forward to welcoming you to take your first step into tennis. A healthy habit, new friendships and a lifelong enjoyable sport begin here.
